On March 8, 1911, the United Nations recognized International Women’s Day, which is an occasion to contemplate the progress made and urge global change. It is an opportunity to honor the courage and perseverance of regular women who have had an extraordinary impact on the history of their nations and communities.

The dinner and award ceremony was organized by ACCC on March 13, 2021, at Heaven on Earth in Houston Texas, which was founded by R.J. Baptiste. Honorable Judge Toni Wallace provided some words of encouragement while the Keynote Speaker, Texas State Rep. Ron Reynolds, praised the service and advocacy of phenomenal women throughout history.

ACCC presented the Phenomenal Woman Award to the panel of women, while Texas State Representative Ron Reynolds presented them with the Community Service Award, and Fred A. Burton (Mayor, City of Arcola Texas) awarded them the Certificate of Recognition. These awards honor women leaders from around the world who have distinguished themselves in their profession and are making a significant impact in the global diaspora.

Chen (Mayor Pro-Tem of Stafford City), Bridgette Smith-Lawson (lawyer), Cleo “Adaoha” Glenn Johnson-Mclaughlin, Carmen P. Turner, Sonia Behrana Rash, Tamara Vogt-Smith, Jennifer A.
