Harris Draws Record Crowd in Atlanta, Challenges Trump to Debate

Vice President Kamala Harris rallied over 10,000 supporters at Georgia State University’s convocation center, marking the largest Democrat event for her presidential bid since becoming the party’s presumptive nominee.

Excel Magazine International reports that in a fiery 20-minute speech, Harris reaffirmed her commitment to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), criticized Project 2025, and addressed various pressing issues.

The event featured performances and reflections from Megan Thee Stallion and Migos’ rapper Quavo, adding to the electric atmosphere.

Notable attendees included former Georgia Minority House Leader, Stacey Abrams, Mayor Andre Dickens, U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, and former Atlanta Mayors Keisha Lance Bottoms and Kasim Reed.

In a bold move, Harris challenged former President Trump to a debate, saying “Meet me on the debate stage… because as the saying goes, if you’ve got something to say, say it to my face.”

Trump and VP hopeful JD Vance are scheduled to hold a joint rally at the same location on August 3rd.

Harris’ rally in Atlanta, a hub for Democratic and progressive movements, demonstrates her strong connection with the community and her determination to mobilize Black women voters. As the presidential race heats up, Harris’ message and momentum are sure to resonate with voters across the nation.
