New York Police Arrest About 300 in Campus Raids

Police in New York City have swooped in on Columbia University and The City University of New York (CUNY) campuses, arresting no fewer than 300 protesters during Tuesday night’s raids, Excel Magazine International can report.

The crackdown, initiated at Columbia’s request, aimed to remove occupants from a building, according to Mayor Eric Adams.

City officials pointed fingers at “outside agitators,” accusing them of hijacking a peaceful pro-Palestinian demonstration, echoing similar sentiments expressed across the country.

Meanwhile, on the opposite coast, the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), reported overnight violence at its own pro-Palestinian encampment.

Vice-Chancellor accounts described “horrific acts of violence” as masked counter-demonstrators, purportedly supporting Israel, clashed with their rivals, wielding sticks and attempting to dismantle barricades.

Footage circulating online depicted the chaos, with one person draped in a Palestinian flag subjected to a brutal assault before police intervened to separate the warring factions.
