Police Crack Down on Pro-Palestinian Protest at UCLA

Police officers have forcibly dispersed a pro-Palestinian protest at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA) by breaking down barricades.

Excel Magazine International gathered that hundreds of people, accompanied by tents, had established encampments at UCLA, prompting officers to issue warnings of arrest if they did not relocate.

Overnight, a large contingent of officers entered the site, resulting in the dispersal of most protesters by Thursday morning.

Witnesses observed several detained protesters, hands restrained behind their backs, being loaded onto buses.

Earlier in the week, a masked pro-Israeli group had instigated violence against a pro-Palestinian student camp, necessitating police intervention.

Similar demonstrations are ongoing at various universities across the United States, culminating in over 1,000 arrests.

The dismantling of the encampment proceeded swiftly, with remaining protesters being detained and escorted away.

Despite a continued demonstration on one side, a substantial police presence remains onsite.

Numerous demonstrators, now detained, await processing and transportation via buses, their hands bound as they sit along the roadside.
