BFyne

Buki Ade, a Nigerian-American designer and entrepreneur, established BFyne, a swimwear brand that promotes cultural inclusivity through its designs. Buki’s inspiration for starting a swimwear line stemmed from her vacation search for a unique swimsuit, which made her realize the lack of creativity and representation of African designers in the industry. With one swimsuit and over 200,000 followers on social media, BFyne swimwear has gained recognition and has been featured in notable publications such as Vogue, Glamour, and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Buki’s swimwear line celebrates women’s curves and confidence through purposely-cut lines and strategically placed seams, which make even the most boyish figure alluring, demonstrating an unapologetic tribute to female body positivity.

Despite not considering herself a designer, Buki was aware of her unique style from a young age and strived to differentiate herself from others. Her innovative mindset, coupled with a modest upbringing, laid the groundwork for her future as an entrepreneur. As a stylist and designer, Buki adheres to the mantra of “unleash your inner Fynebabe” and fearlessly incorporates the latest African cultural trends and the regal confidence of a queen into her personal style.

Buki Ade, the co-founder and designer of Bfyne, embodies the brand’s bold, eccentric, cohesive, and consistent personality. Bfyne focuses on producing striking and appealing designs that incorporate fabulous colors and prints. Buki’s passion for fashion, her love for dressing up, and her daring attitude elevate the brand to another level. Bfyne is committed to creating clothing that highlights and celebrates women’s bodies, catering to fashion-forward, self-assured, and attention-grabbing women, including jet-setters, fashionistas, confident and sexy women, and go-getters.
