On Saturday, July 23rd, 2022, an induction ceremony was held to welcome Queen Nonyelum Okadigbo as a member of the Otu-Umuokpu Anambra Association, USA. Queen Nonyelum Okadigbo, a healthcare professional based in Houston, Texas, is originally from Anambra State in Nigeria, which makes her a legitimate member of the association.
More than 20 branches of the association were present at the Garland Convention Centre in Garland, Texas for the induction ceremony.
The main purpose of the Otu Umuokpu Anambra Association is to support and promote the welfare and culture of its members who are daughters of Anambra State in Nigeria. It aims to foster unity, love, and harmony among its members and provide aid to the underprivileged both in the USA and overseas. Additionally, the association aims to empower children and widows.
